Who is covered by this protection?

This limited warranty only applies to the original purchaser of the tires covered by this warranty and is not transferable. This warranty certificate only applies to passenger and light truck tires which bear a brand sold by Car-X Tire & Auto, and the original vehicle identified on the original invoice.

100% FREE Tire Replacement

Car-X Tire & Auto will NOT PRORATE a tire covered by this certificate. If a tire should become unusable or un-repairable prior to wearing down to 3/32nds of an inch of remaining original useable tread for any reason resulting from road hazard (e.g. cut, snag, bruise, impact or puncture), With this certificate, such tire will be replaced one time at no charge for the tire and charging the user for the necessary mounting, balancing, taxes and required disposal fees.

Lifetime FREE Flat Repairs & Tire Rotation

If a tire that is covered by this certificate is repairable, the tire will be repaired free of charge by Car-X Tire & Auto prior to wearing down to 3/32nds. of an inch of remaining original useable tread at the discretion of Car-X Tire & Auto in compliance with the auto manufacturer's policy. Free tire rotations are available and highly encouraged for covered tires every 6,000 miles.

How is Replacement to Be Determined?

Tires qualifying for replacement hereunder will be replaced with an equivalent new tire. If a registered tire is discontinued or not available, a tire of similar value (to determined at the discretion of Car-X Tire & Auto), will be substituted. No tire covered by this warranty certificate will be eligible for replacement more than one time during the coverage period. Coverage may be purchased for a tire that has been replaced for the current charge of road hazard protection plus taxes, where applicable. When the tire is worn down to 3/32nds of an inch, this Tire Replacement or Warranty Certificate coverage ends.

FREE Towing

If you purchased a minimum of 4 tires with Road Ready Plus, you will be entitled to one tow FROM anywhere within a 45 mile radius of the original servicing Car-X Tire & Auto location TO the nearest participating Car-X Tire & Auto location. Tow to shop is limited to a maximum value of $75.00. This service excludes RV's, fleet vehicles, off-road vehicles or vehicles off the road (winch out), vehicles over one ton capacity and commercial vehicles. Theft, vandalism and accident related incidents are not covered. You must be at the vehicle at the time of service. To arrange for a tow during normal business hours (M-F 7:30- 6PM, Sat 7:30-5PM), call the original servicing Car-X Tire & Auto store to coordinate. For a tow to the store coordinated by the owner after normal business hours, owner will be eligible for a refund up $75.00. How long is my protection coverage?

Standard Road Ready Tire protection gives you coverage of all the included benefits, excluding towing, for a period of 12 months or 12,000 miles from date of purchase, whichever comes first. Road Ready Plus Tire protection gives you coverage of all the included benefits for a period of 24 months or 24,000 miles from date of purchase, whichever comes first. Free Towing is included with the purchase of 4 new tires with Road Ready Plus protection

Tire replacement or repair covered under this Road Hazard Protection Warranty Certificate will only be honored at the Car-X Tire & Auto location of original purchase.

Consumer Rights

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Conditions and Exclusions

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BREX, inc., dba CAR-X TIRE & AUTO DISCLAIM LIABILITY FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL AND INCIDENTAL DAMAGE, LOSS OF TIME OR LOSS OF VEHICLE USE, OR INCONVENIENCE, AND ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY, INCLUDING WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty applies only to tires purchased and actually used, and to adjustments made, in the United States. Some, but not necessarily all, examples of causes or conditions that this Warranty does not apply to include:

1. Continued use while flat or under acute under-inflation

2. Improper use or operation, including, without limitation, improper inflation, overloading, use of an improper rim, vehicle misalignment, tire/wheel imbalance or other vehicle condition, defects or characteristics, wom suspension components, improper mounting or demounting, misuse, misapplication, negligence, tire spinning, tire chain damage, chemical contamination (such as sealers, fillers, etc.), fire or other externally generated heat, water or other material trapped inside the tire during mounting, tire alteration, racing or commercial use.

3. Tire(s) damaged by collision, vandalism or intentional acts causing damage.

4. Failure to observe any of the safety and maintenance precautions recommended by the manufacturer or contained in this document.

Owner's Obligations

Proper tire care is necessary to obtain maximum mileage and wear from a tire. It is your obligation to see that your tire/wheel assemblies are in balance, properly rotated every 6,000 miles of use and that your tires are operated at proper cold inflation pressures. Check the air pressure of each of your tires, including the spare, at least monthly when the tires are cold and adjust as necessary per your owner's manual.

General Terms

The Life Plus Service Guarantee is an optional extended guarantee that may be purchased for an additional cost. This extended guarantee provides you lifetime protection on covered items and a “one time use” 4 year / 48,000 mile protection* on labor. Parts and Services EXCLUDED from this guarantee are listed below under Excluded Parts & Services. THIS EXTENDED GUARANTEE WILL ONLY BE HONORED AT THE LOCATION WHERE THE ORIGINAL SERVICE WAS PERFORMED. NO OTHER CAR-X TIRE & AUTO SERVICE CENTER IS OBLIGATED TO HONOR THIS EXTENDED GUARANTEE. Obligations of the provider under this guarantee are backed by the full faith and credit of the provider and are not guaranteed under a reimbursement insurance policy. This guarantee does not cover consequential damage caused by collision, fire, abuse, self-repair or failure of a part caused by failure of a non-covered part. If, at time of replacement part installation, additional parts or labor to restore the vehicle to its proper and safe operating condition are required, Car-X must perform this additional service. If you do not wish to authorize this service, you will receive a one time, non-installed, non-guaranteed replacement part. CAR-X IS NOT LIABLE FOR LOSS OF USE OF THE VEHICLE, LOSS OF TIME, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND.

Covered Items Under Life Plus Service Guarantee

All covered items are noted on original invoice with a “W” to the left of item description. These items will carry a lifetime guarantee for as long as the original purchaser owns the vehicle. Should the lifetime guaranteed part fail, simply bring the vehicle and the original invoice to the Car-X Tire & Auto location that performed the service and it will be replaced at no charge for the part. However, a labor charge will apply if service was performed more than 4 years / 48,000 miles from the date of the original service. There will be NO Labor Charges for first time installation of covered items for a period of 4 years / 48,000 miles from the date of original service. The labor coverage is only eligible for a “one time use”. When the lifetime guaranteed part is replaced at no charge for part or labor, you may purchase another 4 year / 48,000 mile coverage on the labor portion of that repair or anytime during the original guarantee period.

Time or distance guarantee applicable on whichever occurs first (i.e. 4 years / 48,000 miles).

Excluded Parts & Services

• Tires, Tire related parts and /or associated labor
• Lubricants, Fluids, Flushes and /or associated labor
• Filters, Wiper Blades, Bulbs and /or associated labor
• Batteries and /or associated labor
• Air Conditioning Freon and /or associated labor
• State Inspection Service

Special Circumstances

1. The LIFE PLUS SERVICE GUARANTEE is available for most cars and light trucks.
2. The LIFE PLUS SERVICE GUARANTEE will only be honored at the location it was issued.
3. The LIFE PLUS SERVICE GUARANTEE is not transferable or assignable.
4. The LIFE PLUS SERVICE GUARANTEE will only be honored upon presentation of the original paid invoice.
5. The LIFE PLUS SERVICE GUARANTEE is only applicable on purchased, covered products.
6. Vehicles used for off-road or commercial uses are not eligible for the LIFE PLUS SERVICE GUARANTEE

Disclaimer

In no event shall Car-X be liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This guarantee gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which may vary from state to state.

Return/Cancellation Policy

You may return this Guarantee by returning it to the store location within thirty (30) days after it’s purchase, and if no service has been provided as of the date of the return, this Guarantee shall be void and the provider will refund the full purchase price of this Guarantee.

Transferability

The Life Plus Service Guarantee is not transferable to another owner of the vehicle. Proof of  ownership may be necessary to honor the Guarantee.
